V\u0161ude kolkolem zele\u0148, modr\u00e1 obloha nad hlavou a dole zp\u00edv\u00e1 dov\u00e1div\u00fd potok. Zb\u00fdv\u00e1 si jen p\u0159edstavit houk\u00e1n\u00ed parn\u00ed lokomotivy a jsme v zlat\u00fdch \u010dasech \u017eeleznice za star\u00e9ho mocn\u00e1\u0159stv\u00ed.<\/h6>\n<p>Z\u00e1m\u011bry vybudovat \u017eeleznici do Vimperka se datuj\u00ed ji\u017e do roku 1872. Povolen\u00ed ke stavb\u011b bylo ud\u011bleno a\u017e 18. dubna 1892, ale ji\u017e 14. \u0159\u00edjna 1893 byla \u017eelezni\u010dn\u00ed tra\u0165 Strakonice\u2013Vimperk slavnostn\u011b otev\u0159ena. Dne 25. dubna 1899 se odst\u0159elem sk\u00e1ly v oblouku za vimpersk\u00fdm n\u00e1dra\u017e\u00edm zapo\u010dalo se stavbou \u017eeleznice Vimperk\u2013Volary. U\u017e 6. listopadu 1899 je dokon\u010den \u00fasek trati Volary\u2013Lenora, \u00fasek Vimperk\u2013Lenora je do provozu p\u0159ed\u00e1n 9. \u010dervence 1900.<\/p>\n<p>V\u00edte, \u017ee nejv\u00fd\u0161e polo\u017eenou \u017eelezni\u010dn\u00ed stanic\u00ed v \u010cesk\u00e9 republice je Kubova Hu\u0165 nach\u00e1zej\u00edc\u00ed se na trati \u010d. 198 Strakonice-Volary? Stanice le\u017e\u00ed v nadmo\u0159sk\u00e9 v\u00fd\u0161ce 995 m a d\u0159\u00edve se naz\u00fdvala Vltavice Ho\u0159ej\u0161\u00ed. Z iniciativy soukrom\u00fdch podnikatel\u016f byly na \u0160umav\u011b zakl\u00e1d\u00e1ny komise maj\u00edc\u00ed za c\u00edl dohled nad stavbou jednotliv\u00fdch tra\u0165ov\u00fdch \u00fasek\u016f. Komise tvo\u0159ili z\u00e1stupci okres\u016f, obc\u00ed, majitel\u00e9 velkostatk\u016f, pr\u016fmysln\u00edci i dal\u0161\u00ed z\u00e1jemci.<\/p>\n<p>Emis\u00ed a prodejem kmenov\u00fdch akci\u00ed, jako\u017e i dotacemi ze strany st\u00e1tu, zem\u011b \u010desk\u00e9 a dal\u0161\u00edch interesent\u016f bylo zaji\u0161t\u011bno financov\u00e1n\u00ed rozs\u00e1hl\u00e9 stavebn\u00ed \u010dinnosti. Nakonec byly v\u0161echny takto z\u0159\u00edzen\u00e9 \u010di zam\u00fd\u0161len\u00e9 tra\u0165ov\u00e9 \u00faseky seskupeny do instituce Spojen\u00e9 \u0161umavsk\u00e9 m\u00edstn\u00ed dr\u00e1hy se s\u00eddlem ve V\u00eddni.<\/p>\n<p>Prvn\u00ed zprovozn\u011bn\u00fd \u00fasek byl ze Strakonic do Vimperka. Provoz zde byl zah\u00e1jen v roce 1893. N\u00e1sledoval \u00fasek z Lenory do Volar otev\u0159en\u00fd v roce 1899. O rok pozd\u011bji byla zprovozn\u011bna posledn\u00ed a stavebn\u011b nejn\u00e1ro\u010dn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed \u010d\u00e1st dr\u00e1hy z Vimperka do Lenory.<\/p>\n<p>Spoje \u0161umavsk\u00fdch m\u00edstn\u00edch drah n\u00e1sledovaly p\u0159ev\u00e1\u017en\u011b sv\u00fdm pr\u016fb\u011bhem \u00fadol\u00ed vodn\u00edch tok\u016f, jenom &#8220;\u010desk\u00fd Semmering&#8221; vedl lesy mas\u00edvu Boub\u00edna a dosahoval po mnoha z\u00e1to\u010din\u00e1ch stanice Kubova Hu\u0165 na k\u00f3t\u011b 993 metr\u016f nadmo\u0159sk\u00e9 v\u00fd\u0161ky. Toto nejv\u00fd\u0161e polo\u017een\u00e9 n\u00e1dra\u017e\u00ed v \u010cech\u00e1ch le\u017e\u00ed je\u0161t\u011b o p\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b osm metr\u016f nad \u00farovn\u00ed vrcholn\u00e9ho bodu sv\u011btozn\u00e1m\u00e9 dr\u00e1hy v Semmeringu (prvn\u00ed horsk\u00e9 \u017eeleznice v Evrop\u011b v\u016fbec, zbudovan\u00e1 v letech 1848-1854).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;\u010cesk\u00fd Semmering&#8221; se vine od n\u00e1dra\u017e\u00ed ve Vimperku (696 metr\u016f nad mo\u0159em) v \u00faseku 23 kilometr\u016f ke sv\u00e9mu vrcholn\u00e9mu bodu Kubova Hu\u0165, spad\u00e1 \u0161irok\u00fdm obloukem do \u00fadol\u00ed Tepl\u00e9 Vltavy a dosahuje kone\u010dn\u011b Volar (758 metr\u016f nad mo\u0159em) po celkov\u00e9 d\u00e9lce trat\u011b p\u0159es 38 kilometr\u016f z v\u00fdchoz\u00ed stanice Vimperk.<\/p>\n<p>Podle j\u00edzdn\u00edho \u0159\u00e1du z prvn\u00edch let provozu obn\u00e1\u0161el \u010das p\u0159epravy osob, ur\u010den\u00fd pro t\u011bchto 38 kilometr\u016f 2 hodiny a 18 minut. Ve sm\u011bru z Vimperku mus\u00ed vlaky p\u0159ekonat na \u0161estn\u00e1cti kilometrech p\u0159ev\u00fd\u0161en\u00ed 285 metr\u016f, z druh\u00e9 strany od Volar vzd\u00e1len\u00fdch 23 kilometry, \u010dek\u00e1 na vlaky p\u0159ev\u00fd\u0161en\u00ed 235 metr\u016f, ne\u017e zastav\u00ed p\u0159ed stanic\u00ed Kubova Hu\u0165.<\/p>\n<p>P\u016fvodn\u011b pl\u00e1novan\u00e1 trasa m\u011bla v\u00e9st z Vimperka p\u0159es Kl\u00e1\u0161terec a Korkusovu Hu\u0165 (Korkush\u00fctten) do Kubovy Huti (Kuboh\u00fctten). Uva\u017eovalo se tak\u00e9 o tunelu pod Boub\u00ednem. Pr\u016fb\u011bh v\u00fdstavby ale z\u00e1sadn\u00edm zp\u016fsobem ovlivnil kn\u00ed\u017ee Schwarzenberg. Podal protest proti napl\u00e1novan\u00e9 trase. Pot\u0159eboval \u017eelezni\u010dn\u00ed stanici pro dal\u0161\u00ed p\u0159epravu d\u0159eva ze sv\u00fdch rozs\u00e1hl\u00fdch lesn\u00edch majetk\u016f. Pozemek pot\u0159ebn\u00fd pro stavbu n\u00e1dra\u017e\u00ed dal \u00fadajn\u011b kn\u00ed\u017ee k dispozici bez n\u00e1roku na jakoukoli \u00fahradu a tak vzniklo n\u00e1kladn\u00ed n\u00e1dra\u017e\u00ed v Lipce.<\/p>\n<p>Na n\u00e1dra\u017e\u00ed ve Volarech m\u016f\u017ee na\u0161e dne\u0161n\u00ed cesta skon\u010dit. Ale chceme-li jet vlakem d\u00e1l, m\u00e1me rozhodn\u011b na vybranou! Prvn\u00ed vlak do Volar p\u0159ijel od Vimperka ji\u017e v roce 1900, ale u\u017e o rok d\u0159\u00edv byla otev\u0159ena \u017eelezni\u010dn\u00ed tra\u0165, spojuj\u00edc\u00ed Volary s Prachaticemi a \u010c\u00ed\u010denicemi na trati Plze\u0148 \u2013 \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice.
